Beat Happening - “In Between” from Jamboree

Since Chicago seems to be on some Indian Summeresque weather (though not technically because the leaves haven’t turned and there hasn’t been a frost), I started thinking about the Beat Happening song about this time of year.

However, “Indian Summer” is a little too obvious of a song and though I like it, I’m more interested in this Heather Lewis sung track, “In Between.” It’s a slightly rough, jagged indie pop tune with Lewis’s off-key yet harmonious vocals floating gracefully over the track.
