Kings of Convenience - “Gold in the Air of Summer” from Riot on an Empty Street
It feels like it’s been raining constantly for a week in Chicago and as such, I’ve been listening to a lot of Kings of Convenience at work. I always associate this band with dreary, late autumn days, but this song glistens with all of the shimmering warmth of summer (as the title suggests). Quite frankly, I’m sick of this spring-winter limbo we’ve been experiencing for the past few months and ready for summer. I’m just trying spend time outside, take trips, eat food cooked on a grill, drive with the windows down already.
