Side By Side - “You’re Only Young Once” from You’re Only Young Once
The consistently excellent webzine Double Cross has been running a multiple part interview with Jules from Side By Side/Alone in a Crowd over the past few weeks and as such, I have been listening to this record quite a bit. Side By Side weren’t around very long nor did they record more than a demo, a 7” and some comp songs, but their legacy is pretty big for essentially being a 2nd tier band of the era. I couldn’t decide which track to post, but the title track seemed fitting as I sit here at my nearly-adult office job waiting for 4 o’clock so I can resume the enjoyment of my life.
